The Living Land is a FREE, one day event offered to Kent school children in years 3 and 4 aimed at educating young children in the areas of farming,agriculture, countryside and healthy eating within the beautiful landscape of the Kent Showground, home to the Kent County Show. All that is asked is that you are able to arrive at the Showground by 9.15am and provide your own refreshments.

With around 40 producers taking part, there will be food and drink to suit every taste, ranging from jams, chutneys and honeys, to beers, pies and cheese, as well as olives, game, liqueurs and more…
Ploughman’s lunches will be available throughout the day, as well as tea, coffee and cold drinks
Biddenden Vineyards are members of Produced in Kent, a county-wide organisation promoting all aspects of Kentish life. Visit the Produced in Kent website.
The vineyard will be open as usual offering tastings of the award winning wines, ciders and juices, and also the chance to take a walk through the vineyards on a choice of routes.
Admission is FREE, with donations being taken for the Kent Air Ambulance
2013′s event was a great success! The total raised for the Kent Air Ambulance, including stand fees, visitor donations & money raised by the raffle in 2013 was £4074.14! This year’s lucky raffle winner was Denise Clifford of Tenterden.

The Kent County Show is a showcase event for farming, countryside and rural life. The three day event brings together the very best of Kent with animals and food, fun and excitement and above all a sense of what ’The Garden of England’ has to offer.
We have three stands at the Kent Show, one of which is within the food tent, one in the Produced in Kent area of the show, and we also host a Wine Tent with other local producers. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Cider Barn is opening its doors, bringing you yet another great selection of local and artisan ciders! Enjoy live music, local food and entertainment over the whole weekend. The wild food tent will be in the festival field, teaching you how to forage for food on your doorstep and live off the land. Tractor trailer and walking tours of the orchards will be running all weekend and the craft and produce village returns to offer your some unique gift ideas.

Location: The show is held at Shoreham, Kent which is situated just off the A225 between Sevenoaks and Swanley (about 4 miles from junction 3 on the M25). The show field is very close to Shoreham station (on the A225) and is clearly signposted from the main road. The post code (for those who use satellite navigation) is TN14 7RT.
The Heavy Horse Show is the Lions Club main fund raising event of the year. It generates between £12,500 and £17,500 to support our work in the community. The event is fun for all the family. It combines demonstrations by heavy horses, the engines of England before steam power, with activities for children, a craft fair, a whole range of stalls with local products and a range of fast food booths. There are also displays of veteran cars, motorcycles, tractors and static engines. It attracts around 5,000 visitors each year.

The annual Weald of Kent Ploughing Match is organised by the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match Association. It is a vibrant and growing event that is well supported by the local agricultural and allied trades, with more than 80 trade stands forming the heart of the modern show. It also has a true “Thelwellian” gymkhana, a clay pigeon competition, farmers’ market and a variety of events in the main ring which all attract huge crowds.

Superb live music and street entertainment completes the lively festival atmosphere, making this an unmissable event.
The festival is centered around The Stade and Rock-a-Nore Road in the heart of the Old Town, although business across the whole of Hastings join in with special menus and entertainment.
This year is a paid-for event, adult wristbands are £1 in advance from the Hastings Information Centre, Aquila House; £2 on the gate; children (U18) free. No dogs are allowed on site other than assist dogs.
