Visitors are welcome to stroll around the 22 acres of vines, set in the beautiful Kentish Countryside. See the presses and bottling line in the Winery then visit our Tasting Room to sample our wines, ciders and apple juice.
Biddenden Vineyards-Group Visits 2008 (min 15 people*)
Biddenden Vineyard is Kent’s oldest Commercial Vineyard, having been established in 1969. Ten varieties of grapes produce White, Red, Rose and Quality Sparkling Wine. Traditional Kentish Ciders have also been made here for over 20 years together with farm pressed apple juices. Visitors are welcome throughout the year.
Our coffee shop is open daily, with a wide selection of preserves, chutneys, mustards and honey on display.

To ensure everyone enjoys their visit, the maximum number on any tour is restricted to 45 people, except when hot meals are being served.

We also have a wide range of ‘Day Out’ Tours in conjunction with other local attractions. Please note that these tours are strictly for a minimum of 15 people per group.

Grapes & Apes
With Port Lympne Wild Animal Park
Arrive at 11.45am for your visit to Kents oldest family owned vineyard and enjoy a Ploughmans Platter served with a glass of wine. Next, take a guided tour of the vineyard, followed by tastings and of course take the oppurtunity to buy the award winning Wines, Ciders and Juices produced on site.
Rejoin your coach for Port Lympne Wild Animal Park & Gardens, where you will be met and guided on board a specially commissioned Safari Vehicle. A 90 minute Safari will follow, with far reaching views past Rhino, Zebra and Ostrich to the French Coast. Watch patiently as you see 30 different species interacting with each other, with no bars - just your vehicle to keep you safe from preying eyes! The tour ends in the main park and you may depart at your leisure.
Minimum of 20 people are required for both these visits.

Vines, Wines & Railway Lines
With Kent & East Sussex Railway
Arrive at 12 noon for a Ploughmans Platter served with a glass of wine, followed by a guided tour and tastings. At 2.40pm it’s all change for a nostalgic trip back in time on a steam train from a bygone era, whilst enjoying a Kentish Cream Tea.

The Lake and the Grape
With Bewl Water Cruises
Arrive at 10.30am to embark for the 11am sailing and to enjoy a trip around Bewl Water. This will be followed by a fork buffet lunch. Depart 2.30pm for Biddenden Vineyards for a vineyard tour, tastings and a Cream Tea.

Narrow Lines & Wines
With The Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway
This two centre visit starts with a 35 minute ride on the RH&DR departing from Hythe at 10.20am for New Romney. At New Romney there is plenty of time to visit the Railway Museum or have a cup of tea. From New Romney to Biddenden your coach will take you through some delightful Kentish scenery. On arrival at Biddenden at 12.45pm you will be treated to a Ploughman’s Platter and a glass of wine. Then it’s time for a guided tour of the vineyard and the chance to taste and buy some of the excellent wines and ciders produced in the heart of the Kent countryside.

The National Pinetum & Forest & Biddenden Vineyards & Cider Works
Arrive at 11.45am for your visit to Kent’s oldest family owned Vineyard, enjoy a Ploughman’s Platter served with a glass of wine. Then take a guided tour of the vineyard, followed by tastings and of course take the opportunity to buy the award winning Wines, Ciders & Juices produced on site. Then rejoin your coach for Bedgebury, home of the National Conifer collection and 2000 acre forest. Bedgebury is a beautiful, safe place to walk, on our easy access pathways. There is also a wonderful abundance of wildlife including birds, butterflies, dragonflies and doormice. Enjoy a Cream Tea in our new visitor centre at 4pm.

Garden Delights & Vineyard Sights
With Pashley Manor Gardens
Arrive at Pashley Manor Gardens “one of the finest gardens in England”, at 11.00am with your group. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautiful landscaped gardens, including an exhibition of sculptures for sale, plus botanical art, gift shop and plant stall. Followed by lunch on the terrace overlooking the moat or in the Garden Room Café in inclement weather.(Refreshments not included in the quoted price.) Depart at approximately 2.30pm for Biddenden Vineyards, for a guided vineyard tour followed by tastings and a cream tea.

Catering for Groups
These menus are available by prior booking for groups of 15 or more, irrespective of whether or not you are having a Tour. Usually the menu chosen will be served to your entire group. However, our Catering Manager will be pleased to discuss any variations needed.
Morning Coffee with Danish Pastry - £3.20
Vineyard Ploughman’s Platter - £7.50. **Reduced to £5.80, when included in a tour
A wedge of freshly baked local bread, Cheddar cheese and home baked ham served with salad and a selection of pickles. A glass of wine, cider or apple juice is served with the meal.
Cream Tea - £4.10
Two freshly baked scones, cream, strawberry jam and butter. Pot of tea or coffee.
Hot Meals
Lasagne - £12.00
Served with salad, homemade coleslaw and fresh bread. Apple pie and cream or strawberries (in season) Coffee
Biddenden Sausage Casserole - £12.50
Cooked in our own Red Wine, served with potatoes and a selection of vegetables. Apple pie and cream or strawberries (in season) Coffee

For your own comfort hot meals are limited to a maximum of 35 people.
How to Book
1. Telephone the Vineyard to check availability of the date and time you would like to visit, as there are some restricted dates.
2. We will then make the necessary arrangements and confirm your booking.
3. We will need final numbers at least 7 days prior to your visit. However, minor changes can be made up to 4 working days before your visit.
4. A deposit of 25% is normally payable not less than 21 days prior to your visit.
5. Final Payment can be made on or before the day of your visit.
